Curriculum
At Watch Me Grow we have a wonderful curriculum base on your child. Children are really the ones that teach themselves. As a provider my job is to reinforce what they learn and what they want to learn. My ideas come from the children they are truly bright little people. At Watch Me Grow we explore the world around us. For example the children were into cooking so we dedicated one week for cooking. We cooked pizza, muffins, cookies and etc. We set up the home center like a restaurant. We had menus for the customers and notebook pads for the waiters. What the children learn during this week was self-help skills, taking turns; following direction, reading and writing skills all what we need to succeed in life.
Typical Daily:
7:00-9:30 Open daycare/Free play/breakfast
9:30-9:45 clean up, toilet and wash hands
9:45-10:15 outside time
10:15-10:30 Circle Time
10:30-11:45 Creative Art/Learning Center
11:45-12:00 Clean-up time/toilet/wash hands
12:00-12:30 Lunch time
12:30-12:40 Story Time
12:30-2:30 Rest Period
2:30-3:00 Put mats away/toilet/quiet activities
3:00-3:15 Snack (snack for school-age as they come in from school)
3:15-4:00 outside
4:00-5:00 Learning Center/Science & Math
5:00-5:30 Music Time/Table top activities
5:30-6:00 free play
Free play consists of art, blocks, reading, outside, table top and etc.
